About the Apraxia Apps
Talk Tales story apps were developed by a speech-language pathologist to support children learning to say words and say them clearly. Inspired by children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism Spectrum Disorder, the apps are designed to be engaging, effective, and accessible for a wide range of young learners.
The apps are owned and supported by Sarah Heiman, M.A.,CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist with over 10 years of experience working with toddlers, children with complex speech needs, and children on the autism spectrum. Sarah has worked in private practices, hospital settings, and currently in a school district, and is passionate about providing families with practical, evidence-based tools that support early communication development.
